As I embark on my Presidential year I feel very proud and privileged to become the President
of Northamptonshire Bowling Association.
I would like to thank the members of my own Club, St Crispin BC, for encouraging my nomination, and also
to Northampton West End BC for the support of its members.
Bowls is a sport with many benefits for all ages where we can enjoy the companionship, team spirit, and
healthy competition, whether it is at Club or County level.
Northamptonshire is a County with an excellent team of young bowlers, both male and female, and they are
the future of bowls at Club, County and National level, and with that in mind, we, 'the old men of our
sport', must support and encourage them to the best of our ability.
At this point I congratulate Stuart Lake, Senior Vice President of Bowls England, and Geoff Hunt,
President of the Midland Counties Bowling Association, on their appointments, and wish them both
a successful and enjoyable season.
May I say a special thank you to our team of Officers and Past Presidents who have helped and advised
me towards my Presidential year, and it is my wish to uphold the high standards that have gone on before.
Finally may I wish all bowlers a healthy and successful bowling season, be it at Club or County level.
